CNC Milling
Our CNC milling centers use state-of-the-art tooling and full synthetic coolant formulations, which translates to a better and safer working environment for both the machined parts and humans handling them.
These centers are capable of full 4th-axis machining are also capable of creating complex 3-D tool paths at very high production rates, with high spindle speeds increasing the benefits of part finishes.
In addition, all our machines have Renishaw Probing systems that, among other benefits:
- aid the setup of precise part fixturing
- automatically measure the tooling
- check for broken or out-of-spec tooling
- measure some of the machined part features right in the machine
All of these things further contribute to our exceptional part accuracy, and tolerences of up to +/- .0001.
CNC Turning
Our CNC turning lathe centers use state-of-the-art tooling and full synthetic coolant formulations, which translates to a better and safer working environment for both the machined parts and the humans handling them.
All our machines are equipped with a tool measurement probe to measure tooling and ensure the highest degree of accuracy possible. Additional equipment includes a conventional 3-jaw chuck for turning larger parts; a Hardinge Accu-Length 3J collet setup to run bar stock or smaller diameter parts; and a tailstock w/center for longer parts.
Swiss Turning
Our CNC Swiss turning centers use state-of-the-art tooling and full synthetic coolant formulations, which translates to a better and safer working environment for both the machined parts and the humans handling them.
CNC Swiss turning is a machining workhorse, where you can have the best of both worlds.
Parts can be milled, drilled, and turned in one operation with very high close tolerance repeatability. Second-side operations can be run simultaneously with the first side on a second part running at the same time. This is a real time saver!
The coolants we use can be run at very high pressures — as much as 1,000 psi –to facilitate cooling, lubrication and high rate chip removal.
In addition, a bar feeder, which can hold up to 13 bars up to 12 feet in length, can cycle the materials thru the machine automatically, meaning your parts can be fabricated even during off-hours and weekends.
Laser Marking/ Laser Etching
Our laser marker is a Pulsed Fiber 30-watt system with standard and wide lenses for a larger marking field.
There is also a full 4th-axis rotary and tooling to perform marking on round surfaces and longer parts.
The machine is capable of creating a wide assortment of fonts, and can also import any custom font, as well as marking bar codes, QR codes, serial numbers, and raster, DXF, or vector images.
We can mark most plastics, as well as steels, stainless steels, phenolics, aluminum (including hard coat anodized), titanium, and hard chrome.
These marks can be laser marked (on the surface) or laser etched (into or below the surface).
Wire EDM
The Wire EDM is a very close tolerance work center. An electrically-charged wire can cut intricate shapes and sizes that would be impossible with conventional rotating tools.
The true position accuracy of our machines is extraordinary, thanks to the additional glass scales, and our high-speed anti-electrolysis power supply that enables us to offer finishes as fine as 4 Ra. They also feature a rotary axis for indexing the part during the wire cutting operation.
Heat Treating
Our heat treating services are available for all items we manufacture as well as for parts provided by our customers.
Our Lucifer furnace is capable of handling parts up 12”wide X 14” long and 10” high.
Hardness is certified using the Rockwell hardness tester, and a certificate of compliance is available upon request.
CNC Laser Welding
Our CNC Laser Welder is a 4 axis Welding Center with an X-Y table axis. It runs on Pulsed Fiber technology 1.5 K-Watt Peak and a wide variety of materials can be welded that with convention Tig methods were not possible because of heat constraints and weld aesthetics.
The 4th axis is a rotary axis that can do round items requiring rotation with ease.
Argon Gas assist can be used to keep the weld from turning black and sooty. Using Argon Gas produces an oxygen-free atmosphere to keep the welds clean and bright with no discoloration.
CNC control means optimum results with steadfast repeatability by loading the saved proven program file.
We have Validated our welding processes to produce welded joints with depths exceeding .5mm
